a mirror reflection.

A reflection about th class, a mirror reflection about how I feel about the class, a sincere meeting and learning with the lecturer. In the class, I think I learnt a lot as I'm not Albert Einstein of IT. Like literally. I'm not. But during the classes I'm able to learnt whole lots of new things that I never expect to learn as  TESL student. During the class, Mr. Nik expressed his thought to us that he wanted us to think out side the box and I'm not sure whether I can think outside of the box. Pandora box. A lethal box that should not be open. But in order to achieve bigger things, we have to take chances without any doubt. He open my eyes on what is a teaching profession is all about. He showed us the new kind of teaching materials that very useful as we use internet only to teach the students. But I don't agree with the fact that students can learn without any interaction with the teachers and classmates. Human interaction is indeed very important in our lives. Though people are fussing with the internet. But I'm not sure whether it is a good thing. Nowadays, home study is very famous but don't we think that the children now are not even interacted with the people around them? Perhaps, this is the the reason behind all the chaos in the society now. I like the class very much. Relax but full with information. A great way to study as I can think and at the same time I can relax my mind and absorb all the inputs well.

Against or follow the game..

All the people must be aware of the possibility of UPSR and PMR being cancelled by the Ministry of Education. This issue raises many opinions from the intellectuals and even the fishermen at Sabah. Hence, you can conclude that this issue is a rather a big issue as it will affect the future if the young generation of Malaysia. For your information, I don't agree with the decision of cancelling UPSR and PMR. This keep me wondering with a big why question mark on my head. People might say that UPSR and PMR ar no longer relevant with today education system. But, if we want to cancel them we must have some kind of others examination system to replace them. Now,  I stand with my decision to go against the people who are agreed that UPSR and PMR should be cancelled. Which means that I will strongly opposed this decision. I have my rational behind my decision. As all of you know, examination is made to measure on how the students can applied the knowledge that they learnt in classes. Hence, by keeping UPSR and PMR, we can know how many inputs that the students get during the lessons. So, we can take some measurements to improve the students potential so that they can be a successful generation. Moreover, by keeping this examination systems, the Ministry of Education can easily select the students who are qualified to attend the Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP) and to Junior MARA Institution. But, if we continue with the decision to cancel the UPSR and PMR I am afraid that all the privileged students or Elite student who are coming from the rich and famous families will get the proper education compared to the smart but poor students especially students in the rural areas. UPSR and PMR can be imagined as a barrier for the Ministry of Education so that the Ministry doesn't have any controversy regarding the students intake to the Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (SBP). Furthermore, for me by keeping this examination systems, bribery among the big players can be avoided. Hence, this will keep our education system is for all the malaysians and not for the rich and famous Malaysians which will lead to a damaging future. As a future teacher, I want to keep UPSR and PMR as they are important for teachers like me. This examination systems will give me information about my work performance as my students will sit for the examinations and we will know whether they can understand and apply the knowledge that are being taught. Having said that, I strongly pursued the Ministry of Education to change the questions style rather than just remembering all the knowledge why don't we focused on questions that can make the students to apply the knowledge in different ways. From my observation and my experience, I know what it felt to study like a maniac BUT  what I only did was remembering the examples and knowledge but I can hardly applied the knowledge during examinations. I can't say that my decision is true but Ministry of Education should do some open conference with all the teachers from all parts of Malaysia because they are the one that will be teaching the students and not the bog player at the Ministry of Education or the intellectuals.

B. Wordsworth.

Yesterday, I learnt about this short yet interesting short story. The setting is at Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago. It is a story about a poet named  (B. wordsworth). Now, why the writer named the character after the name of the famous romantic English poet? The main reason might be that the writer try to compare the poems written by William Wordworth and Black Wordsworth. B. Wordsworth never right anything in the story except the line "Th e past is deep". The story is from the boy point of view. Hence, we can see all the good, the bad and the ugly of the others characters. Will be continued~

my first(?) blog entry...!

Being a TESL student is not as easy it  may look. It demands hard work and not enough sleep for most of us. For me, I rather say that being a TESL student is like being a witch in the Old England where you can be burned easily. But it just a simile. Here people are being cynical with English Language. For example, if you can speak in English Language you will be label as an arrogant student. This happened to me during my first week here. But now, everybody is my friends and I embrace them all as my sweetest pals ever~my decision of being a TESL student is not a mistake but a right choice indeed for me!!!
